The Origins of EdClicks.com

From the spring of 1997 until May 2001, I was contentmaster of HomeworkCentral.com, now part of bigchalk.com. The content collected was the knowledge flowing on to the Internet, and over 35,000 study subjects were organized in context. In 2003, the collection was bought by Proquest, who took it offline and now sell it as a commercial product.
To share the awesome vision of bountiful virtual knowledg for the future of education, I have been building EdClicks.com since early in 2002. Specific sections have been built to illustrate ideas set out in my new book How We Will Learn in the 21st Century, published by Scarecrow Education in September 2002.

Watching the cascade of human knowledge into cyberspace -- where it is now available to everyone on Earth -- has been the most interesting and optimistic experience of my life. I have been an eyewitness to the dawning of the golden age of learning!
